Head Coach: Lauren Baumann
Lauren has been coaching the Skyline Dance Team since 2014. She is an Eastlake High School Dance Team Alumni and danced four years at the collegiate level for Gonzaga University. Lauren went on to dance professionally for six years with the AFL and NLL, as well as teach various ages and styles in studio environments. She has choreographed for middle school, high school, collegiate, and professional teams. She has served as the Assistant Coach for the Eastlake Dance Team, and the Seattle University Cheer & Dance Team. Lauren has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Psychology from Gonzaga University. She is married to the most supportive “dance husband,” Tyler, and they have two little boys, Greyson & Wesley. Lauren was honored as the WSDDCA Coach of the Year in 2020-2021.
Assistant Coach: Celeste Mirabal
Celeste has been with the Skyline Dance Team since 2018. She began dancing at age 5, starting out in a small studio in southern California. From there she moved to Texas and was a part of the Rosette Dance Team in high school. Her junior year of high school she moved to Florida and was a part of the Mane Attraction Dance Team, becoming an officer her senior year. While in Florida she was also a part of the Integrity Dance Company, training in multiple genres of dance including, ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, modern, musical theatre, and acro. Celeste attended Florida State University, until she moved out to Sammamish, Washington with her family. She currently works at Seattle Children’s Hospital as a Pediatric Nurse.
Assistant Coach: Syrah Gerth
Syrah is entering her fourth year coaching Skyline Dance team and joined the coaching staff in 2019. She was also a member of Skyline Dance Team from 2011-2015 and served as 1st Lieutenant and Head Captain. Syrah danced at studios in the Issaquah area prior to Skyline. Her favorite style of dance is pom and loves helping her dancers develop their leadership skills on and off the dance floor. Syrah graduated from the University of Redlands with a BA in Business and Law Policy and is currently pursuing a Master in Human Resources through the University of Illinois. She works in recruiting at a tech company and volunteers with Make-A-Wish when she isn’t coaching.
Assistant Coach: Sydney williams
Sydney is starting her coaching journey with the Skyline Dance Team this year but has been involved with the team since 2015. She was a member of the Skyline Jr Dance Team for two years as well as a member of the Skyline Dance Team for all four years of high school. Sydney served on the team as a coach to the Jr Dance Team, a Lieutenant, and Head Captain. She has trained in dance her entire life and currently works as a fitness instructor teaching dance-based fitness classes. Sydney is currently attending the University of Washington in Seattle and pursuing a degree in Business Finance.
